The Family Court fully funds free and confidential counselling to help couples or individuals in a relationship for 3 reasons;

1.  To help couples resolve issues in their relationship, or handle a separation

2. To help couples who are separating reach agreement on issues like the care of children.

3. To help parents (separated or not) and guardians of a child reach agreements on issues concerning the child.

If you would like to request a particular counsellor in your area you can write that on the form.  This is entirely at the discretion of the family court coordinator, but your request will be granted in most cases, provided the counsellor is an accredited Family Court Counsellor.  REST Counselling provides a simple way to apply to see a counsellor in your area.  Apply for Free Relationship Counselling
